This policy explains what information Ember & Ice Contrast Therapy LLC ("Ember & Ice," "we," "us") collects when you visit our website or book a session, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep what we collect to what we actually need to run the studio and take care of you.

1. Information we collect

• Booking details — your name, email, phone number, the service you choose, and your preferred date and time.
• Health-screening answers — for your safety, we ask a short intake before your first visit. We treat this as sensitive, collect only what's needed to screen for safe participation, and never use it to diagnose anything.
• Communication preferences — whether you've opted in to email or text reminders and marketing.
• Payment information — handled directly by our third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
• Website usage — standard analytics such as pages visited, and general device and browser information.

2. How we use it

We use your information to book and confirm your sessions, send appointment reminders and receipts, screen for safe participation, respond to your questions, run our membership program, and — only if you've opted in — send occasional news and offers. Analytics help us understand what's useful on the site and improve it. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Text messages & consent

Reminder (transactional) texts and marketing texts are handled as separate opt-ins — you can receive one without the other, and you can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP or contacting us.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us operate, and only as needed:

• Payment processor (e.g., Stripe or Square) — processes your payment under its own PCI-compliant terms.
• Email & SMS provider — delivers your confirmations, reminders, and any marketing you've opted into.
• Analytics provider — helps us measure and improve website performance.

We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your booking and account information for as long as you're an active guest and for a reasonable period afterward to meet business, accounting, and tax obligations. After that, we delete or anonymize it. Health-screening answers are retained only as long as needed for safe participation and recordkeeping.

7. Your rights & choices

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and you can opt out of marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link, replying STOP to texts, or contacting us. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA to know about, delete, and opt out of the "sale" of your personal information (note: we do not sell it). If you are in the EU/UK, contact us for any GDPR-related request. Otherwise, this policy is governed by Louisiana and U.S. law.

8. Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. (See our age requirements for who may use the studio.)
