Our commitment

Ember & Ice is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We believe recovery should be open to everyone, and we work to make our website usable and welcoming regardless of how you browse the web.

Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard widely used to measure how accessible digital content is to people with disabilities. We treat this as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time task.

Measures we take

• Semantic HTML structure so screen readers can navigate headings, landmarks, and lists.
• Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images and icons, and decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.
• Full keyboard operability — including our booking flow — with visible focus indicators.
• Color-contrast checks on text and interactive elements against our dark theme.
• Respect for the "reduce motion" setting: animations are minimized when your system requests it.
• Responsive, scalable layouts that adapt to zoom and smaller screens.
• Periodic manual and automated accessibility review.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations may remain. We're honest about them and actively working to fix them:

• Our online booking calendar is being continually refined for the smoothest possible screen-reader experience; if you have any trouble reserving a session, we're glad to book it for you by phone.
• Occasional third-party content or documents may not yet fully meet our target; we prioritize remediation as we find it.
